Therapy for Growth

Peace. Resilience. Evolution.

What is therapy?

Therapy doesn’t have to be hard, scary or overly emotional. It is work, yes, but it can also be brief, focused, and at times enjoyable. I help teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s changes and all types of relationship issues.

My clients tell me that I’m calming, grounding, and insightful — that I listen without judgement and offer clear perspective. I help clients make sense of their feelings and behaviors by noticing patterns and encouraging exploration of root needs and desires. I offer practical ways to respond to challenges, at times with lightness and a sense of humor. My job is to help you create tangible positive change, in whatever area of your life you choose to work on.

How do I find a good therapist?

Finding a therapist you feel confident talking with can be really hard, especially when you already feel overwhelmed, frustrated, depressed, stressed or anxious. I get it. I believe that the therapist-client connection is above all the most important aspect of therapy, it’s what fuels the comfort and confidence to grow. This practice might be right for you if you are:

  • A teen feeling frustrated and not good enough.

  • A parent feeling over-whelmed, over-worked, under-cared for.

  • A high schooler or college student feeling the weight of life and the anxiety that goes along with it.

  • A professional changing jobs or dealing with a layoff.

    Anyone who is…

  • facing a major life transition.

  • bored with life and wanting more.

  • frustrated with your marriage or relationship.

  • grieving a loss.

  • wanting to find deeper connection to your true self.

About me

Learning to live in balance, with your family, your community and yourself, is a lifelong skill. When we are in balance, we weather the storms of life with resilience, patience and hope for the future. When we are out of balance, small things become overwhelming, little irritations become too much to carry, and patience, hope, and drive dwindle. I know what it is like to build a career, build a family, and feel the stress of a fast-paced life. And I know how to help you regain balance in your life so that you can have the relationships you want, function better as a family, or succeed at work.

In my own life, I find that activities such as yoga, meditation, gardening and cooking, bring me peace and help me connect with friends and family.

I have a strong sense of empathy and compassion, a knack for tapping into humor when appropriate, and a bent for critical thinking.

I work most often with clients dealing with anxiety, grief, confusion, loss of sense of self, parenting challenges and difficult life stage transitions. I am a non-religious spiritual person, and I welcome everyone into my therapy office.
